QTHmap serves to show you a map of a ham's QTH. Search on the callsign page and the address on record with the FCC will be returned and displayed on a Google map for you.

Two other options are available as well: viewing a city and tracking a net.

New Location System

I've spent some time this morning doing a total overhaul on how the maps for individual hams are generated. The new process should make the site more responsive and uses a centralized geocoding (address-to-coordinates) system so each visitor's web browser doesn't have to go to Google for the information each visit.

New Hardware!

If you're seeing this, you're on our new server. QTHmap always was too slow, unfortunately, tied to the hardware it was on and its capabilities. However, I've now moved it to a much more powerful machine, and we'll see how things go from here.

I've also developed a process for importing new data that takes a couple person-hours less than the old method - and hopefully soon, once I get a bit more time to tweak and adjust it, that process can become automatic.

QTHmap is still around and has a few other tricks up its' sleeves that are coming.

Thanks for visiting, and I hope you find QTHmap useful.
